Trump said the support should end until the Joe Biden administration cooperates in investigating the financial relationships of the incumbent’s family.

Former US President Donald Trump, who plans to run in the upcoming presidential election in 2024, called on Republican congressmen to stop authorizing additional military support for Ukraine at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

According to Sky News , Trump said the support should be withheld until the Joe Biden administration cooperates in investigating his family’s business dealings.

“Congress should withhold authorization of a one-time additional payment of our depleted stockpile of…arms stockpiles to Ukraine until the FBI, Justice Department, and Internal Revenue Service turn over all evidence they have of the Biden crime family’s corrupt business operations,” Trump said.

He also accused the current US president of “dragging the US into a global conflict on behalf of the very country, Ukraine, which apparently paid his family all those millions of dollars.”

As Sky news recalls, Republicans in the House of Representatives are investigating the Biden family’s finances, in particular payments that Hunter, the president’s son, received from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Trump’s remarks about the war in Ukraine

Previously, Trump has repeatedly criticized incumbent US President Joe Biden for significant military assistance to Ukraine and accused Biden of allegedly dragging the country into World War III .

Trump also criticized Europe, saying that European countries are doing very little compared to the United States. He stated that he would require Europe to compensate for the stockpiles of weapons that the United States used to support Ukraine in the war against Russia.

Trump is currently leading the race for the right to become the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. He is the main rival of incumbent President Joe Biden.
