The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, citing the country’s weather forecasters, reports that on July 29, a dust storm is expected in most districts of the Khatlon region, districts of republican subordination and in the city of Dushanbe due to increased wind.
According to the CoES data, atmospheric air pollution with suspended solids (dust) of 10 µm (Rm-10) and 2.5 µm (Rm-2.5) is predicted.
The Committee asks to wear masks when the dust storm intensifies, to carry out wet cleaning at least two or three times in the room.
Also on July 29-31, in a number of western regions of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, in the Sughd Region and regions of republican subordination, local mudflows continue to disappear.
In this regard, the CoES, again addressing the residents and guests of the country, recommends to be careful when moving through passes and mountain roads, when collecting medicinal herbs, firewood, fishing and hunting.
Addressing the inhabitants of the foothill and mountainous regions, the CoES strongly recommends to be careful when grazing livestock on pastures located near water bodies.
In addition, the CoES, in order to avoid the consequences of mudflows, convincingly asks the population to carry out work to clear mudflows, rivers, sais, canals and other water bodies located near or on the territory of their places of residence.
