The State Committee of National Security of Tajikistan reported the killing of three members of the “Ansarullah” group, who had crossed from Afghanistan to Tajikistan with the aim of “committing terrorist acts”. According to the authorities, a large amount of weapons were confiscated from these people, and their shelter was destroyed.
The State Committee of National Security of Tajikistan published a news report on Wednesday morning saying that these people crossed the Tajik border on the night of August 29-30 in the territory of Kevron village of Darvoz district. Based on this report, after determining the whereabouts of this group, the operation against them was completed on September 5.
“These people were asked to surrender, but they did not obey and opened fire on the security forces”, – said in the KDAM news.
It is currently impossible to confirm the news and more information about the incident from independent sources. In the photos published by the authorities, many weapons can be seen, and it is not clear how the three fighters brought so many weapons with them.
According to the authorities, as a result of this operation, all three members of this group were killed. The report of the State Committee of National Security of Tajikistan did not say anything about the losses among the state forces.
In the report of the authorities, Zarif Bobojonov, a native of the Kulkand community of Isfara city with the nickname “Usman”, was named as the leader of this group. Two other individuals of this group were Farhod Bahadurov, native of Sherbegiyan village, Safedchashma rural community, Nurabad district, and Ahtam Kasimov, native of Kulob city.
Relatives of these people have not said anything about this until now.
The KDAM report says that these people, along with the weapons they had, had previously placed a large amount of weapons, explosives, and communication equipment in a shelter from the territory of Afghanistan.
According to the KDAM report, “these terrorist operations were purposefully planned by special services”.
However, the report did not specifically name any specific services, nor did it say what their specific purpose was.
This is the second time this year that the authorities have announced that they will eliminate members of the “Jamaat Ansarullah” organization in the territory of Badakhshan Mountain Autonomous Region. On April 26 of this year, two members of the “Jamaat Ansarullah” who entered the territory of Tajikistan from Afghanistan were “neutralized” in the Yazgulo plain of Vanj district, according to the authorities .
Darvaz and Vanji districts of Tajikistan, where the last two operations against members of the “Ansarullah” group took place, border Nusai and Moimai districts of Darvaz, Afghanistan. Like other parts of Afghanistan, Nusay and Moimai are under the control of the Taliban government.
