In a speech to the participants of the Group of 20 summit in November, President Zelensky presented the “Ukrainian peace formula” – the actual plan of how to end the war with Russia
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that next week at the UN General Assembly, the Ukrainian side will present a resolution on peace in Ukraine. He said this on February 17 in an address to the participants of the 44th summit of the leaders of the Caribbean Commonwealth and called on them to support the document.
“Next week, we will present a resolution on the grounds of the UN General Assembly regarding a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Ukraine, and therefore the restoration of the full force of the international order based on rules. Your votes matter! I have presented a formula for peace, and your leadership can help make it happen,” the president said.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his speech to the participants of the Group of Twenty summit in November 2022, presented the “Ukrainian peace formula” – the actual plan of how to end the war with Russia. There are ten points in “Zelenskyi’s plan”.
Earlier at the UN, the President of Ukraine stated that his formula involves the creation of a tribunal against Russia, payment of compensation to Kyiv for the war, provision of financial and military support to Kyiv from Western countries, limitation of the price of Russian resources and restoration of territorial borders. Moscow commented on these points separately, saying that it was not ready for such conditions.
In January, Ukraine’s ambassador to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, reported that the Ukrainian authorities were going to hold a “peace summit ” at the UN headquarters on February 24, the anniversary of the start of the full-scale Russian invasion .
