The Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan have agreed on a site for the construction of a new theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky in Dushanbe. This is reported by the TASS agency with reference to the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Zulfiya Davlatzoda.
In addition, the minister, in communication with the media, positively assessed the cultural cooperation between the Russian Federation and Tajikistan. She called Russia a strategic partner of official Dushanbe and stressed that relations between the two countries would continue to develop. Separately, Zulfiya Davlatzoda noted that artists from Russia work in theaters in Tajikistan.
The old building of the Mayakovsky Theater was demolished six years ago. The issue of building a new one was discussed at the level of members of the government, the leadership of the parliament and the administration of Dushanbe.
Earlier, Media-MIG wrote that schools with the study of the Russian language are gaining popularity in Tajikistan.
