According to various sources, about a million Tajiks annually travel to Russia to work and earn money. Income, and at this expense the maintenance of the family and the improvement of living conditions – this is one positive side of labor migration.
But there is also a negative, and no less important – the deprivation of children of male upbringing and care, the lack of a male shoulder …
What else? What problems do migrant families face in their absence? Our story comes from the distant village of Chordara, Hamadoni district.
