Russia has arrested two suspects in the murder of Tajik banker Shohrat Ismatulloev. On August 29, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev informed about this in his meeting with his Tajik counterpart Ramazon Rahimzoda.
Most likely, one of the arrested is Dilshod Saidmuradov, the main suspect in the murder of the banker, and the visit of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan to Moscow for his extradition ends.
A day ago, the press office of the MIA informed about the visit of Ramazan Rahimzoda to Russia and said that one of the main topics of the meeting of the Tajik minister with his Russian counterpart is the arrest of Dilshod Saidmuradov, known as “Dilshodi SB”.
Saidmuradov is a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan. Previously, the Tajik authorities said that Dilshod Saidmuradov, one of the main suspects in the kidnapping and murder of Shuhrat Ismatulloyev, fled to Russia after the crime.
In the meantime, the news about Saidmuradov’s joining the “Wagner” group was published, which the authorities called “unfounded.”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia called the arrest of two suspects in the murder of a Tajik banker a good result of cooperation between the authorities of the two countries. According to the Russian side, Dilshod Saidmuradov and another suspect were arrested as part of the interstate “search” operation.
Also, during the meeting of Ramazan Rahimzoda and Vladimir Kolokoltsev, it was reported that the activity of a criminal group was revealed, which was engaged in extortion and fraud against Tajik immigrants in the Moscow region.
The arrest of two other suspects in the death of Shuhrat Ismatulloyev, the former deputy chairman of “Orionbank”, is being reported in the media while he is scheduled to be buried today in the “Head of Asia” mosque in Dushanbe.
