Former judge’s secretary Rustam Saidahmadzoda, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for fraud, was released early.
Aziza Haydarova told Radio Ozodi on September 12 that she was released after paying “compensation” based on the amnesty law. The Prosecutor’s Office and the Directorate of Prisons have not yet explained the case.
Ms. Haidarova says that she returned home from prison last week and has no complaints about her health: “I passed through a disputed apartment, which was the reason for my arrest.”
“I satisfied the plaintiff’s request. Although my mother bought the house with the money she earned during migration, I gave it to the plaintiffs. After that, the amnesty law was applied to me. Now I am in Khujand,” Haydarova added.
This secretary of the former judge, whose arrest and imprisonment caused a lot of noise, does not want to talk much about this topic. In particular, it is not known why he did not leave the house during the investigation of the case, but after some time of arrest he agreed to present it.
Earlier, Barno Haydarova, Aziza Haydarova’s mother, told Radio Ozodi that her daughter was forced to give a statement against Rustam Saidahmadzoda, the former judge of the Bobojan Gafurov District Court, and that “the dispute at home is just an excuse.”
Aziza Haydarova did not talk about it. He only said that “until the transfer to Norak prison, they put a lot of pressure on me to speak at the request of the investigator.”
In January of this year, the Khujand city court sentenced 25-year-old Aziza Haydarova to ten years in prison. He was found guilty of fraud, extravagance and falsification of evidence, although he and his relatives have repeatedly denied the charges.
Rustam Saidahmadzoda, the former judge of the Bobojan Gafurov District Court, who was known for his “white verdicts”, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison in April this year. Later, the Supreme Court reduced his sentence by one and a half years .
