In the last week, the price of flour and oil has increased in Tajikistan. According to the new report of the UN food program, which tracks the prices of products in the country’s markets, the price of flour and oil has increased by 18 percent in most of the country’s markets.
Now the price of a bag of flour is from 270 to 320 somoni. Traders believe that the reason for the increase in flour is the decrease in its import and grain from abroad.
According to the same report, the price of eggs has not changed in the last week, but it has increased by 14 percent compared to last year. The average price of mutton, beef and chicken meat remains variable depending on the amount of their stock in the consumer markets of cities and districts. In most city and district markets, the average price of potatoes, onions and carrots has increased by 3 percent compared to last week.
Generally, it rarely happens that the price of overpriced products in Tajikistan will go down again as before.
By the way, the increase in the price of products in Tajikistan has an impact on the unemployed and low-income people and poor families, which are not small in number.
In this regard, Radio Ozodi reporters asked the passers-by on the streets of Dushanbe, what kind of products do they want to be cheap and available in the markets?
