A group of members of the National Pact, an organization opposed to the Tajik government, during a trip to Lithuania, talked with the authorities, people’s representatives and representatives of the cultural community of this country.
The press office of this alliance said in an official statement on September 29 that the delegation is headed by Muhiddin Kabiri, the head of the Islamic Renaissance Prohibited Party in Tajikistan and also the head of the National Alliance.
During the meeting with the official representatives of Lithuania, a small country of the European Union, there was an exchange of views about “the current situation of Tajikistan, the Central Asian region, etc.”

The visit of the opposition delegation of Tajikistan to Lithuania began on September 26 and is scheduled to continue until the end of this month.
The Baltic countries, especially Lithuania, are currently hosting hundreds of citizens of Tajikistan, including a number of political opponents of the government.
The National Pact of Tajikistan, a coalition of four organizations and groups opposed to the state, was established abroad.
The Supreme Court of Tajikistan has declared it an extremist organization, but its members say they do not follow any extremist ideology.
