American authorities arrested three Russian citizens, one of whom is also a citizen of Tajikistan, on suspicion of non-compliance with sanctions against Moscow.
Nikolay Goltsev, Kristina Puziryova and Salimjon Nasriddinov are accused of exporting prohibited technical products to Russia. It is said that this product was used in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The news was published on October 31. Radio Ozodi has not yet received a response from relatives of Salimjon Nasriddinov regarding the case.
“France Press” news agency named 52-year-old Salimjon Nasriddinov as a “possible partner” of Nikolai Golstev and his wife Kristina Puziryova.
Ivan Arvelo, a special administrator of the US Department of Homeland Security, said in a statement that the three are suspected of sending the sanctioned products worth about 10 million dollars to Russia.
The US Department of Justice said in a statement that some of the samples of the products sent by them were found in drones, tanks and helicopters seized by Russia in Ukraine.
“These companies bought electronic products from American manufacturers and sent them to Russia illegally and in violation of sanctions,” the ministry said in a statement. While, according to the source, they knew that the technical product would be used for military purposes.
According to media reports, the product was purchased through SH Brothers and SN Electronics. Both companies are registered in Brooklyn.
Federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York say they discovered “more than $1.1 million in proceeds” in domestic banks and seized them on Tuesday.
Salimjon Nasriddinov, who will be 53 years old on November 5, graduated from the Polytechnic University of Tajikistan, then worked, lived and did business in Russia.
He moved to America a few years ago, and in 2021 he participated and spoke in the campaign of Tajiks of the United States in New York. In some of the photos on his Facebook page, he is depicted next to the President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon and the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Washington.
