Salimjon Nasriddinov, 52, from the city of Panjakent, Tajikistan, was arrested on October 31 in Brooklyn, New York.
Nasriddinov and his two accomplices, Nikolay Golstev and Kristina Puzireva , are suspected of violating the “Export control reform act”. It is said that they bought technology and equipment from American companies and sent them to Russia, which can be used to make weapons. The position of the suspects, their relatives or their lawyers is currently not available.

The arrest of these three people was requested by the special administrator of the US Department of Homeland Security, Eugene Gershman. Radio Ozodi got acquainted with a copy of the document on November 2. According to Yevgeny Gershman in this document, Salimjon Nasriddinov was originally engaged in buying equipment and technologies from American companies, and therefore on June 11, 2021, he founded SH Brothers Group with an address in Brooklyn, New York.
For this purpose, Nasriddinov founded a company called SN Electronics on January 30, 2023, which is registered in the name of his wife.
Kristina Puzireva, who has citizenship of Canada and Russia, and her husband Nikolai Goltsev are said to be associates of Salimjon Nasriddinov. These two people were arrested on October 31 in a hotel in Manhattan, New York, when they were planning to go to Nasriddinov.
According to the results of the investigation, Nasriddinov and Goltsev used to order dual-use equipment (meaning civilian and military) from American companies at several addresses in Brooklyn. As they become available, they are re-boxed and sent to Russia through intermediary companies in Hong Kong, Turkey, United Arab Emirates.
While their position is not available to the accused, the document says that these technologies were sent to the Russian companies “Testcomlect”, “Radioavtomatika”, “EKV-Neva” and “Comtek”. These companies are under US sanctions .
As evidence of the cooperation of these three people, Gershman cited, among other things, the correspondence between them through messengers. For example, on February 23, 2023, Nasriddinov wrote to Goltsev: “Happy Defender of the Fatherland Day!” “Congratulations to you too, my friend, we are defending the way we can,” wrote Goltsev in response to Nasriddinov.
It is also said that the address of the house where Nasriddinov lived was mentioned in the bank account of Goltsev-Puzyreva. In general, the special administrator Gershman listed 49 cases of organized cooperation of Nasriddinov, Goltsev and Puzireva and asked the court to arrest them. The explanation of the suspects or their relatives and lawyers is not available.
Salimjon Nasriddinov is a well-known individual and a successful businessman among Tajik immigrants in America. It is said that he is also the owner or co-founder of a restaurant called “Tanduri” in Brooklyn.
It is said that Nasriddinov has worked and lived in Russia for many years and, among other things, helped in the purchase and acquisition of equipment for the construction of the “Rogun” power plant in Tajikistan. He still has a scientific activity and is a doctor of economic sciences. He defended his doctoral thesis in Russia.
In August 2021, Salimjon Nasriddinov and a group of American Tajiks announced the establishment of an organization called “New Tajik Generation”. The goal of this organization was to help Tajik immigrants in America and teach Tajik language to the children of immigrants.
Salimjon Nasriddinov is one of the supporters of the official return of the Persian name to the Tajik language, and in 2018 he signed an open letter to the Parliament of Tajikistan to this effect. In this post, he is introduced as an engineer from Russia.
